College Graduation

With diploma already in hand I headed up to Sonoma State University to see my friends once again and walk across the stage to the sound of one of my business professors calling my name. After a great couple days of spending time with my friends the family arrived and graduation weekend was here. My Auntie Barb, Uncle Larry, Grandma Hart, Uncle Rich, Cousin Matt, Mom, Dad and Alaina (sister) all came up to support me on my big day.
I have been blessed with such a great family who in these past four years have gone through a lot. We have come to know, even more now, how important family is and how important it is to be there for them on every occasion. So it was so great to have them there to support me!!
Up early on Saturday we all got dressed and headed to the school. I lined up with friends, while my family and two best friends (Caylin and Chloe) sat and waited for the ceremony to start. Finally it came time and we walked in to the sound of bag pipes and families cheering. As we sat and listened to numerous speakers, the best being the creator of "Super Size Me" the movie, we grew anxious in anticipation for our name to be called. Finally it was time and as I headed up to the stage it became more serial that I had really graduated. I did it! I had graduated college in 3 1/2 years and beat all the odds. My senior sem professor called my name and as my family and friends cheered I shook the hand of the President of SSU and walked back to my seat.
As all the students left the ceremony I met up with the fam to take pictures and celebrate. Overall the day was great and I am so thankful to all who came out to support me.

a fashion show and a concert

You might think that I went to some sweet fashion show for Victoria Secrets and a great concert like John Mayer but NO this was WAY BETTER!!!

As I am creating my blog page my best friend and old time roomie decided to give me a little fashion show and sing some Disney toons for me and if I do say so myself she's got some talent. With the window wide open and the music playing in the background (thank you Pandora) she started out with the fashion show. Trying on clothes for our college graduation tomorrow, she went from the cutest, simple coral dress, to tight skirts and long shirts (that some people might wear as dresses but I'd call those girls either really short or desperate)...in the end we chose the coral dress and this is where the concert began. As she belted out Disney songs some in the right key but most not, I laughed my butt off. I have known for a long time but realized once again why we are such great friends!!!
I thought this would be a great first post to explain that this next (new) chapter in my life is full of laughter, fun, randomness and a time of learning and growing!

Until the next post...may you be blessed and I hope that whatever chapter of life you are in you are living life to the fullest, laughing outloud and loving deeply!
